Deliciously Sweet White Chocolate and Cherry Blondies

Blondies are awesome, right? A sweet chocolately slice with a burst of fresh cherries – even better!

I’ve been very, very slack lately with putting recipes up here. I could blame lots of different things – working extra days, looking after my 2 boys, being pregnant with bub #3 and the associated tiredness ……. But I won’t. I’ve just been lazy.

It doesn’t mean that I haven’t been cooking though. I’ve got a few things backlogged, so expect a few more recipes in the coming days. Even though cherries are no longer available here in Australia this is still a great recipe to bookmark, for when they come back later in the year. It’s perfect for Christmas entertaining and won’t disappoint.

When I got home, I just had to make something with strawberries in it. This is how this White Chocolate and Strawberry Tart recipe came about:

Want an easy no-bake Easter treat? Well here’s an easy recipe for you!

These Strawberry Easter Carrots are simple and delicious. I found a similar idea on Pinterest (soo many ideas on there!) that suggests using candy melts. I think white chocolate is probably tastier. Golden Brown Butter and White Chocolate Easter Cookies

Easter is fast approaching. It’s time to look past the commercial aspect of the season and think about the real reason for Easter and the sacrifices made. It’s time to think about new life.

Easter eggs represent new life and also symbolise the tomb in which Christ’s body was placed. Over the years Easter eggs have developed from painted bird’s eggs to chocolate eggs – and they’re everywhere! Easter eggs have been on the shelves of supermarkets since the beginning of the year. It seems as though it’s a little earlier every year, but I’d like to think that the normal savvy shopper can look past this consumerism and pause to think about the real meaning.
